Using the Chromebooks

31st Jan 2025
This week P1/2 had the chance to use the new Chromebooks! We had great fun creating cold land pictures.

During play, the water tray became the Polar regions. We had to melt the ice to free the cold land animals and return them to their igloos.

In phonics this week P1 were learning the letter 'h'. We drew around our hands, made a Humpty Dumpty and carried out a sound search in reading books. P2 were learning the sound 'ck'. P2 also carried out sound searches, built words with 'ck' and recognised the different way to use the 'c/k' sound.

In numeracy P1/2 were learning about measure. We got into height order to find out who was the shortest and who was the tallest. We measured using pencils and had a hunt around the classrooms for items that were shorter and longer than a pencil.

This week P1/2 learnt about Chinese New Year and the year of the snake. We made colourful, spiral art snakes.

On Friday in PDMU we talked about the sense of taste and had a taste test using different fruit and vegetables to find out which we liked.
