P3/4 Trip to Mount Stewart

On Friday P3/4 had a fantastic trip to Mount Stewart. Thankfully the weather stayed dry and allowed everyone to get stuck in finding minibeasts in the forest. We also found out about the different birds you might see and the sound they make to communicate with each other. P3/4 were set a challenge to find as many wool worms as possible to discover how hard birds have to work to find some of the worms that are able to camouflage themselves. We then had the opportunity to create our own woodland creature using things we found on the forest floor. Everyone was exhausted after our fun trip but we all went back to school with smiles on our faces.
