Integration

What is an integrated school?

At Loughries Integrated Primary School we bring together children and staff from Catholic and Protestant traditions, as well as those of other faiths, or none. We provide a learning environment where the children are educated together which allows the opportunity to understand and respect all cultural and religious backgrounds. The promotion of equality and good relations extends to everyone in the school and to their families regardless of their religious, cultural or social background. Integrated education is value-driven and child-centred. It is delivered through a holistic approach with an emphasis on developing every aspect of a child’s or young person’s potential.
