P5/6 WAU - Human Body Investigation

16th Oct 2024

Last week, P5/6 completed an experiment to test the effects different drinks can have on our teeth. Using 5 hard boiled eggs, we kept eggs in water, milk, apple juice, orange juice and cola for 7 days to see what happened to the shells.
We not only observed the changes to the shell but after 7 days we also cut into the eggs to find out if anything had happened to the inside (which nothing had). However, we discovered that the eggs in water and milk were much stronger than those in the sugary drinks like apple and orange juice and of course coke!!
