Pancake Tuesday 🥞

Today P3/4 were very excited about celebrating Pancake Tuesday! We started our morning by chatting about our favourite pancake toppings. There were lots of great suggestions, from classic lemon and sugar to buttery pancakes.

We used JIT to create a pictogram showing the class favourites, and the children loved seeing which topping came out on top!

Next, we worked together as a class to write clear, sequenced instructions on how to toast a pancake. Once we agreed on our final steps, we followed them carefully to toast our own pancakes — and then enjoyed a tasty treat.

The children could choose from butter, lemon, sugar, or even have all three if they wanted!

A fantastic morning of learning, working together, and enjoying some delicious pancakes.
