One of the Loughries mums, Mary-Jo Petrie came into P1/2 to tell us all about her work as a nurse. She brought a special visitor with her - Charlie Brown, the gorilla. She told us how he had been in a house fire and had head and arm injuries, as well as difficulty breathing. We treated him in our ICU, checking his heart rate and blood pressure, putting him on a drip and giving him painkillers for the pain.
