St Andrews Day at Loughries

We celebrated St Andrews day in style as always! All the children came dressed in something blue or tartan and the morning started off with a special visitor to our school, our Scottish bagpiper dressed in his kilt! 
The children love hearing the music and marching round with partners and even had a go at some Highland dancing!  Shortbread was enjoyed at snack time of course and each class produced a different craft related to Scotland. 

P1 and P2 even flew to Scotland in the morning and got to meet the loch ness monster.  We had some Scottish dancing, learned a Scottish song and thankfully made it back to Loughries for home time!
