Sumdog

7th Feb 2025
This week we took part in the Sumdog maths contest and were delighted that P2 were the overall daily winners on 5th February! Well done P2!

P1/2 were learning all about shape and patterns in numeracy this week. We discussed the properties of shapes and played some fun games to complete the shape patterns.

In phonics P1's sound of the week was 'g'. P1 drew beautiful garden scenes and came up with lots of words beginning with g. P2 were learning the sound 'sh'. P2 built 'sh' words using paper squares and had a sound hunt in their books for 'sh' words.

Our literacy book of the week was 'One Snowy Night'. P1 were able to label Percy the Park Keeper, whilst P2 became authors and wrote captions for different parts of the story.

On Friday we had a special visit from the police who talked all about the different ways we can keep safe when out and about.
