Teamwork and Peer Learning

30th May 2025
This week P1/2 enjoyed working together in teams and small groups. We were exploring ordinal numbers in preparation for Sports Day. Additionally, we enjoyed taking it in turns to be the teacher, reminding each other to put up our hand and giving clues to help each other out with the answers.

P1/2 enjoyed using the IWB to draw and write facts about different jungle animals. We also had a go making some jungle animals using the peg boards. In WAU we discussed the tropical climate of a rainforest and what would be a suitable outfit for jungle explorers in this climate.

Our literacy book of the week was 'The Blue Jackal'. This was about a cunning jackal who believed he could be the king of the forest. We then wrote our own ideas about what we would do if we were king for the day.

On Thursday everybody enjoyed getting the musical instruments out to play along to 'Charanga'.

In art on Friday we made crabs to update our seasons topic board for the summer term.
