The mummified tomatoes

9th May 2017

Before Easter, we mummified tomatoes as part of our Ancient Egypt topic. This week, we got to see what they looked like a few weeks after being mummified and compared them to the tomato that was left, unmummified. We also compared them to what they looked like before and looked at their weights before and after.

They were pretty disgusting - orangey and wrinkly - I don't think anyone would be wanting to put them in a salad now! Although they weren't mouldy like the one that was left.
