Roles and Responsibilities of the Board of Governors

The Board of Governors at Loughries Integrated Primary School plays a vital role in shaping the strategic direction and overall success of the school. Their responsibilities include overseeing school policies, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, managing budgets and resources, and supporting the leadership team in delivering the school’s vision and values. Governors also help uphold the integrated ethos by promoting inclusion, equality, and community engagement. Working in partnership with staff, parents, and external agencies, the Board of Governors ensures that every decision made is in the best interest of the pupils and the wider school community.
